WELCOME TO THE MEIER DOLL HOUSE

The Meier Doll House is a Year Round Lakefront Rental Home on Beaver Dam Lake in Northern Indiana’s Lake Country. We call it Lake Country because in this one County in Indiana alone we have over 150 lakes. Located in southern Kosciusko County Indiana, we are conveniently located to local attractions as well as major metropolitan areas. Only 1-hour driving distance from Fort Wayne or South Bend and about 2-hours and 15 minutes from Indianapolis, Chicago is less than 3-hours away as well. We are situated on a 150 acre natural lake that’s provides great fishing year round as well as water sport activities.

This home is located in a private residential area and most neighbors are year round tenants. Home is located 2/3 of a mile off a county road, back a winding gravel road near the end of this dead end drive ”very private” nestled behind a 28 acre privately owned woods. Just steps away from the waters edge this home is perfect for that romantic get-a-way or family vacation. Activities such as fishing, water sports, fowl hunting, ice fishing, hiking, biking, snowmobile riding or simply taking in the natural beauty of the lake await you. There are plenty of attractions to keep everyone in your party satisfied with your vacation choice. The residents around the lake gave this home the nick- name “Doll House” because the home resembles a Doll House; so we decided to keep the name. 

The home is Handicap Accessible and fully furnished with everything and very tastefully decorated.  All appliances are less than a year old with the exception the apartment size washer & dryer. This 1-bedroom home has a Futon in the living room that converts to a full size bed to sleep an additional 2-persons and a new roll-a-way bed is available to sleep the 5^th if needed. The home has a surprisingly large living room area that faces the lake. The bedroom also faces the lake, a fully equipped kitchen with lots oak cabinets and a breakfast bar for two. A large bathroom with tub & shower, a small utility room with washer & dryer. A small front porch and a newly added rear deck complete with a handicap ramp. The home has a very nice size yard and we own the two adjacent lots, all together we have about an acre of lakefront living.

This is a deep water lake 62 feet in the deepest spot, with the average depth of about 30 feet, the lake offers lots of structure for fishing, such as sand bars, weed beds, lily pads, sunken islands, drop offs, rocky ledges, shallow bays and more. I moved here nearly 20 years ago because of the great fishing. Large Mouth Bass, Blue Gills, Crappies, Jumbo Perch, Channel Catfish just to name a few. A 12-foot fishing boat (with trolling motor) is included with the rental or bring your own we have a public access ramp just across the lake.

The lake does have a controlled speed limit of 10 mph, only allowing faster speeds exceeded 10 mph from 1pm to 4pm daily. This makes for a great combination because not only do you not have all the boating noise all day, but this also allows most of the day for fishing, swimming or simply just relaxing.
